The Common Sense Guarantee

ENVELOPE operates and is managed according to a certain process. This process was developed by Anthea van Kopplen, the designer at ENVELOPE over 10 years ago. The process is called LIDA - The Low Impact Design Approach. It is a holistic approach based on product lifecycle principles.

Anthea van Kopplen teaches at RMIT and designs for her label Envelope. Envelope is stocked at the department of the exterior, where I got to see first hand the simplicity and beauty of her designs and philosophy.

LIDA is approach also know in environmental mangement as LID Low Impact Development. Using mimicry, minimal development and considered approaches the impact on the environment is built into the design of a given item or practice.
